Detailed Installation Instructions
This is how easy it is to install a Multiplay floor!
ITEMS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
• one utility
knife/blade or jig saw (optional) and straight edge for
cutting tiles
• chalk line
• broom
• 3mm foam or rubber underlayment (optional)
• duct tape
INSTALLATION
1. Select which wall will require the least cutting. Start at this wall by putting the
first tile with both loop sides facing outward (DO NOT face loops to the starting corner)
If room will not be continuously kept within a temperature range of 55 to 75 degrees, leave a 2" expansion space from ALL walls and ALL vertical obstructions. If floor will be kept in this temperature range then 1/2-1" expansion space is acceptable.
2. Position second tile in the same direction as first tile and snap into place - continue laying tile by tile down the entire wall line
3. Using utility knife or jig saw, cut tiles at all walls making sure to leave appropriate expansion for room temperature range.
4 .Return to the starting tile and continue to lay floor the same direction the first row was laid. Continue this pattern* until entire room is laid.
5. After all tiles are laid, install optional trim pieces around the perimeter of floor or door openings as required.
